I really wanted to wear the bird top to work today.  Like really badly.  I don't know why.

I didn't wear those slippers to work even though I really wanted to. I wore flats from my Report arsenal.

It's been raining for a few days.  With the smallest bit of sunshine outside, I decided that I wanted to wear a dress.  I bought these tights over a year ago and am just getting around to wearing it.

I don't think I'm love with this outfit. I forgot to take a detail pic of my tights. I may add that later.

Anniversary

I'm not sure if I like this outfit. It looked better in my head. Hubs and I headed out for a fancy 6-course dinner to commemorate our other wedding anniversary.

Can you believe I've had this dress for over a year and this is the FIRST time I'm wearing it? Shame.

You can stand under my umbrella

I've been debating whether or not to include pictures of my head on this blog.  I started this blog for myself and never intended to share with anyone.  Not that I was super secretive or anything, I just don't think any of the pics are blog-worthy and only served to create motivation for myself to get dressed.

I wore to run errands today. Those are jeggings, they're made of lightweight denim with an elastic waist, so I'm not sure they're really jeggings, maybe faux jeggings? I love them because elastic waists are a must after New Years partying creeps up around your midsection. The flats are canvas oxfords from LA's Chinatown.

Mr. Tangerine Man

I thought for the longest time, the song was called Mr. Tangerine Man, turns out, Bob Dylan was talking about a Tambourine Man. Darn.  I should make a more valiant attempt to take picture of my fabulous finds.  My sister actually found me this citrus delight at Target for $5.

Stars and stripes

So I'm couple months late to celebrate stars and stripes. I'm not even wearing the right color stripes.  Remember when Target first decided to do collaborations with haute designers? This shirt is from the very first collaboration with Luella.  I remember stalking this shirt with my sister when the collection went on clearance.  I originally bought the shirt for my sister who gave a it a few runs before giving it to me.  It was too small for me for the longest time, but I couldn't bear to donate it.  So here's an example of where hoarding ends happily.  

The shiny flats are new from Marshalls.  I saw these same flats at Macys during their Black Friday sale, I bought mines for $10, way less than what Macys had them on sale for.  

Before you think I'm still on a triptophan high, I realize sequins ≠ stars.  But both are shiny and that's good enough for me.

Isn't it weird how the weather affects what you reach for?  I wound up with all dark colors and my super cute rainboots.

The only man is snoring...

I played around with lighting before I took this picture today.  Look's much better, right?  This wasn't a particularly fun outfit.  It was rainy and ugly outside, so I had to find something to match the weather my comfort level.  I wore my pony rain boots from Target, but I was too lazy to lug them to my picture spot.  They're cute, I promise.  Pinky Square!
